Wow!

I had a wonderful weekend :)  Yesterday was our combined meeting with the three other wards that live within my apartment complex.  We have combined church meetings once a month, and there is always a guest speaker for Sacrament Meeting.  So yesterday I sat down in the chapel, and asked who the speaker was-- it's usually a General Authority, like someone in the Seventy, and I've always enjoy the talks.  Two or three months ago Sis Pingree, who had served in the General Relief Society Presidency spoke.  Well.... yesterday Pres. Monson spoke in our Sacrament Meeting!!  It was an amazing experience! We usually end our meeting at noon, but Pres. Monson spoke for over an hour! :)  I left after 1:00!  He is so wonderful.  He is so funny!  He has the neatest stories and experiences to share.  I am truly thankful for a living prophet, and that I got to see and hear him speak (and five rows from the front!)  I know that he is our prophet.  I loved that our closing hymn was "We thank thee, O God, For A Prophet."  Life is so good!  Last night I went down to Provo to see the CES fireside with Elder Andersen.  My good friend Stephanie knows him personally, and we were invited to sit with his family on the front row!  What a treat!  I am grateful for these opportunities.  And I got to meet him and shake his hand. :)  What a wonderful man! I know that he is called of God.  It was such a fabulous, special day!!
